In Star Wars: The Phantom Menace the Queen of Naboo’s Royal ship was designed by a company on the Nubia.

On Earth, Nubia is a region in southern Egypt and northern Sudan on the banks of the Nile, also known as Kush. Interestingly, while the planet is renowned for its gorgeous silver and chrome spacecraft, the ancient region was Egypt’s main source of gold. Indeed, the ancient Egyptian word for gold was “nub”. The Nubians changed writing by allowing writing in either direction vertical or horizontal which allowed them the flexibility to include pictures in there writing in a non-detracting way.
